The Ministry of Education and Sports is organizing the first ever National Health Professionals’ Education and Training and Health care conference.

The conference organized under the theme “A country with health professionals who are lifelong learners and always ready to confront any health condition/disease” will take place from 27^th April to 30^th April, 2022 at Imperial Resort Hotel, Entebbe.

According to Dr Safinah Museene Kisu (PhD), Commissioner, Health Education and Training, the conference will bring together both national and international participants to hear from experts and high-profile speakers present scientific papers and share experiences relevant to the health care professionals and health care trainers in Uganda.

The Conference will be opened by the Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni and closed by the State Minister for Higher Education, Hon. Dr. John C. Muyingo.

In preparation for the conference, the Ministry of Education and Sports called for submission of abstracts from the public. The abstracts were submitted under various sub-themes:

1. Innovations in Heathe Education, Training, Assessment and Clinical Practice.
2. Collaborations as a Key Strategy to improve Training and Involvement to the World of Work.
3. Effects of Covid-19 on Health Education and Clinical Practice.
4. Leadership, Governance, and Regulation in Healthcare and Education.
